Roscoe Village Family Practice
Roscoe Village Family Medicine

After 20 years of teaching in the St. Joseph Hospital Family Practice Residency I was ready to open my own practice. We started with myself, Larry Lindeman MD and Leticia Alvarez MA in 2004. After 1 year, Lois Miller MD and Linda Grundeman LPN joined us. We had all worked together for many years at the teaching program.

After researching the best in family practice offices I opened the Roscoe Village Family Medicine Office based on the principles of the Ideal Medical Practice Movement. The core principles of this movement are:

Access: You can see your doctor when you need to. Same day appointments are usually available.

Continuity: You see the same doctor and nurse so that we really get to know each other.

Efficiency: We try to run on time so you don’t dread coming to the doctor and wasting hours of your time.

Robust visits: We schedule the visits long enough to figure what’s really going on with you.

Information: You have enough information to understand your health and the doctor also has the most current information. We have extensive patient education materials and the doctor has the most current information on his computer or the internet to always get you the most up to date care

Availability: The doctor is easily available by cell phone after hours for emergencies so you talk to your doctor not some doctor on call whom you have never met.

As part of the ideal medical practices group we are participating in research in conjunction with Dartmouth medical school that is trying to constantly improve outpatient medical care.
